The 21st Annual Hospitality & Tourism Summit is Coming to Navy Pier This April 19th
Includes 3 educational sessions and a trade show featuring 80+ exhibitors!
(CHICAGO) – The Hospitality & Tourism Summit, sponsored by Curaleaf, is returning for its 21st year with its signature trade show on April 19th at the Aon Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier. Last year, this event was the first in-person business-oriented event in Chicago after the lockdown.
The Hospitality & Tourism Summit, produced by Ateema Media & Marketing, is an opportunity for top planners, concierges, social media influencers, suppliers, and industry pros to connect before the busy summer season. The Hospitality & Tourism Summit is inviting industry professionals to join them in rebuilding the tourism, meetings, and events industries in Chicago.
“As we collectively look to restore the hospitality and tourism industry following the devastating impact of the pandemic, the Hospitality & Tourism Summit will serve as a key event in beginning the economic recovery process here in Chicago,” said Navy Pier President and CEO Marilynn Gardner.
“Choose Chicago is proud to sponsor the Hospitality & Tourism Summit Chicago. Given what our industry has been through in the last couple of years, it’s so important for us all to come together to reconnect, learn, do business, and celebrate our great industry.”
The event draws the “who’s who” in the industry each year and boasts 80+ exhibitors including venues, restaurants, nightspots, hotels, event services, attractions, tours, shops, and more. In addition, this year will include a live Entertainment Showcase sponsored by Magnificent Events & Entertainment, three educational sessions, and the chance to safely network with 1,100+ industry professionals.
Three Educational Sessions
With three educational sessions hosted by top names in Chicago’s events and tourism industry, this year’s Hospitality and Tourism Summit is built to help you overcome pandemic-related issues and be successful. Guests can take advantage of sessions ranging from the tourism themed panel “Today’s Approach to Hotel Guest Services & Experiences” to the meetings & events themed session “Take The Fear Out Of Team Building At Your Next Meeting” and the popular state of the industry panel led by Choose Chicago Interim CEO Jim Meyer entitled “The Future of Hospitality, Events & Tourism in Chicago.”
World Class Entertainment
The Entertainment Showcase, sponsored by Magnificent Events & Entertainment, is generating lots of buzz this year. Performances range from iconic The Second City to drag queens from Lips to Chicago favorites like Maggie Speaks and speed painter Elliot From of Artbeat Live. You can also enjoy live performances by former Lynyrd Skynyrd member Randall Hall and former lead singer of the Temptations, Theo Peoples, and much more.
There are a number of engaging activations at this year’s Summit. Choose Chicago’s Neighborhood Pavilion will feature interesting businesses from Chicago’s neighborhoods. Esquire by Cooper’s Hawk will feature great wine sampling. Batch & Bottle will feature their hot new super premium bottled cocktails. Plus there’ll be behind the scenes tours of City Cruise’s boats, you can help create a pixel mural with Live Art International, and there’ll be a mini-Riverwalk activation featuring 4 of the Riverwalk restaurants.
“People are traveling and booking in-person events again.” said Tim O’Malley, CEO of Ateema Media & Marketing. “It has been an unprecedented couple of years for our industry and we’re proud to team up with our partners to take this important next step in the rebuilding process. Our industry needs to work together to let people know that Chicago has reopened, and we’re back to providing world class experiences for our guests,” O’Malley continued. “This year’s Summit will play a more important role than ever before in terms of connecting industry buyers and sellers given the effects of the pandemic on the networks in our industry.”
Designed to cultivate relationships between concierges, meeting and event planners, and businesses that cater to Chicago’s groups, events, and visitors, the Hospitality & Tourism Summit provides an inside look at the best Chicago has to offer.
