Hospitality & Tourism Summit Health & Safety Plan

Coming together again after the COVID-19 pandemic requires all parties to think about hosting meetings, conventions, and events very differently. Your well-being is Ateema’s #1 priority. Here is everything we are doing to protect your health and peace of mind so you can focus on reconnecting and getting down to business. Ateema has partnered with industry-leading experts to come up with a comprehensive Health & Safety Plan to safely host the 20th Annual Hospitality & Tourism Summit.

Health & Safety Plan Executed with Safe Expo

Ateema Media & Marketing has partnered with Safe Expo to create and execute a health & safety plan that starts from the day you register through days after the event. Through our partnership we will be asking the standard CDC questionnaire related to COVID-19 symptoms before you arrive, we will be taking temperatures of every participant on their way into the event, and we will follow all current event guidelines set forth by the CDC, State of Illinois, and the City of Chicago.

Expansive New Venue at Navy Pier

We’ve secured a larger venue with ample space for social distancing and will be utilizing indoor/outdoor space. We will be using 3 rooms including the Aon Grand Ballroom and adjoining spaces with a collective capacity of over 13,000 people. With our limited number of exhibitors and attendee tickets this year, we will be under 15% capacity of the entire venue.

Navy Pier recently received their GBAC Star Accreditation issued by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council, a division of ISSA. The GBAC STAR is the gold standard of prepared facilities. This accreditation means that a facility has: Established and maintained a cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention program to minimize risks associated with infectious agents like the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). Register early to avoid waiting in line to register at the Summit. Our new registration and check-in process will have 3 required health stations to pass through before you are allowed to enter the Summit.
Symptom screenings and temperature checks will be performed before any participant is allowed into the venue. Anyone who fails our symptom screening or shows an elevated temperature of 100.4℉ / 38℃ or higher will not be permitted to enter the venue.
The Trade Show moved to the Aon Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier to allow for ample social distancing. With almost 4x the amount of square-footage in our venue, limited capacity, and outdoor space, there will be plenty of space for participants social distance and connect safely.

Face masks that cover your nose and mouth are required at all times. All participants at the Summit will be required to wear a face mask at all times unless actively eating or drinking in designated areas.
Remember to social distance at all times. Social distancing will be promoted throughout the venue to provide a safe experience for everyone involved.
Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the event. Hand sanitizer will be plentiful and available in all areas of the Summit.
